Professional Wool Rug Cleaning in SoHo NY

From a contemporary wool rug to a hand-knotted heirloom, wool rugs need care selected for their dyes, weave, and condition. Embedded dirt can dull the pile even when the surface is vacuumed regularly.

Our wool rug cleaning service in SoHo NY starts with an assessment of your rug and its cleaning needs. We review stains, odor concerns, existing wear, and material sensitivities before recommending a suitable approach.

Why Choose Professional Wool Rug Cleaning?

• Addresses embedded dirt and grit that surface cleaning may leave behind
• Uses cleaning methods selected for wool fibers and the rug construction
• Provides stain and odor treatment assessed for compatibility with wool
• Includes attention to dye stability, backing, edges, and fringe
• Includes controlled drying appropriate to the wool rug and cleaning method

Common Wool Rug Cleaning Concerns in SoHo

• Embedded dust, soil, and tracked-in grit
• Food and drink spills
• Pet stains and lingering odors
• Traffic-related soiling and a dull appearance
• Residue or discoloration from previous spot-cleaning products

If your building requires a scheduled service window or specific elevator access, include those details with your inquiry so pickup and delivery can be coordinated.

Our Wool Rug Cleaning Process

1. Inspection: We assess the wool pile, foundation, backing, dye stability, and existing condition.
2. Dry soil removal: Appropriate dusting helps release loose dirt and grit before further cleaning.
3. Spot treatment: We evaluate stains and select treatments appropriate for the wool fibers and dyes.
4. Material-appropriate cleaning: We select a cleaning and rinsing method suited to the wool rug. Tufted rugs, delicate blends, and weakened backings may require a different approach from woven rugs.
5. Controlled drying: Moisture and drying are managed according to the rug construction and cleaning method, with attention to shape and backing condition.
6. Final inspection: We review the results and identify any remaining concerns before return.

Types of Wool Rugs We Assess and Clean

• Hand-knotted wool rugs
• Persian and Oriental rugs with wool pile
• Contemporary and machine-woven wool rugs
• Flat-weave and wool kilim rugs
• Tufted wool rugs with backing assessed before cleaning
• Vintage wool rugs and wool blends requiring individual care

Tell us about pet accidents, previous spot treatments, or changes in texture. Cleaning results depend on the stain and rug condition; permanent discoloration, fading, and fiber damage may remain.

I had a very pleasant experience with this rug cleaning company. We not only hired them for rug cleaning but we wanted to cut off a piece of the rug because we were changing up our home decor and needed to resize it and it looks marvelous. It's clean and beautiful. Thank you from The Eckerts
